Tapped on the wikepedia options to learn more. This bird is massive with a 9ft wing span. It's in extreme danger in Europe and in trouble elsewhere, as per usual. So sad.

A lammergeier visited the UK a few years ago.
It had a ring on it's leg and Ornithologists determined that it was from the Ural mountains.
It stayed here for a few weeks before heading home.
Happily it has been seen back where it belongs, alive and well.
I watched a video of it being " mobbed" by a flock of ravens.
It made these huge corvids look like crows or rooks.
