In the classic children’s story, ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ by L. Frank Baum, what is the lion lacking?

Has to be one of the greatest films ever.

When I was a kid, the movie was shown only once a year. The anticipation excitement made it that much more precious. Most everything today is available at a moments notice. That's sad.

Bluemoon7, I had a book of the original Grimm's brothers fairy tales. In Cinderella, the stepsisters each cut off a piece of their foot to try to wear the glass slipper, but the prince sees the blood and rejects them. I suspect a lot of the classics were altered for modern audiences.

Player Say what!?, you're right. It's lacking the thrill of anticipation when everything is instantly at ur fingertips or so readily available. It makes it not so special anymore.

Since my name is Dorothy I am familiar with the story.

The book is allot different than the movie. I like the movie so much better than the book. I could not imagine Dorothy wearing Silver Shoes as in the book.. so glad they were changed to Ruby Red.

One of my absolute favorite movies.... so much fun to watch.

Green Machine, Great book. Different death of the wicked witch, silver instead of ruby slippers, whole city of China, breakable characters...many sequels

They used Asbestos for the snow in that movie.
