In 2000 I had the Roux en Y surgery. I weighed 250 lbs and am 5'6". I lost 120 lbs. and am currently 135 lbs. at age 72 have adopted a healthy lifestyle and maintained my weight within 4 - 5 lbs. It literally saved my life!

My Aunt has had this procedure done but it did not stick. I saw her at my Aunt's and I didn't know who she was. She said you don't know who I am do you and I said no to which she responded I'm your Aunt Diane. I could not believe my eyes. She had always been a severely overweight woman. Come to find out that she had had this procedure done and I saw 2 to 3 years later and she had all the weight put back on. GOD LOVE UNCLE HERM FOR PUTTING UP WITH HER MEDICAL PROBLEMS, CAUSE LORD KNOWS SHE'S HAD ENOUGH OF THEM.
