Moorish is not a nationality.

tia, No! No, No!!! The word Moor when referring to names of places such as Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor etc has __nothing_ to do with their ownership, it is the type of land it is. Rough and wild with low fertility. The people known as Moors had no real presence here or ownership of any sort of land.. As for the dancing, there are many types of folk dances here - no one knows where this name comes from - there is no evidence.
If you're looking for Moorish things then try Spain.

I'm sure the Moors were at one time landowners in England, hence Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor, etc. Also Morris dancing should be called Moorish dancing, apparently

Coo
Charlie , Technically perhaps not. It was however used in Shakespeare's day to describe people from North Africa

Charlie ,
Apart from these historic associations and context, Moor and Moorish designate a specific ethnic group speaking Hassaniya Arabic. They inhabit Mauritania and parts of Algeria, Western Sahara, Tunisia, Morocco, Niger, and Mali.
The term Moor is an exonym first used by Christian Europeans to designate the Muslim populations of the Maghreb, al-Andalus, Sicily and Malta during the Middle Ages. Moors are not a single, distinct or self-defined people. The 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica observed that the term had "no real ethnological value."
