Amur Timur was a ‘mighty war lord’ like Ghengis Khan and was Turkic-Mongol. But he was not Turkish. His great great great great Grandson Babur ( true pronunciation in Uzbek), more often known as Bobur was the ‘Moghul’ Amir who conquered north of India. He was a direct descendant of Ghengis Khan as well as Amir Timur. He was born in Farghona in Uzbekistan where I lived for 3 years.
