What is the basic component in sushi?

Funny I should get this question. I'm eating sushi right now! I love white fish sashimi and also spicy tuna yumm 😋 if you try it for the time be careful with the wasabi it will make you feel like your breathing fire through your nose.

I thought sushi was raw fish, therefore meat would be the main ingredient; rice as one of the ingredients. I've never tried it.🤷

I like it but the price doesn’t let me enjoy it very often.
