What makes the American village of Monowi unique?
Correct answer: It has only one resident

Clidge
There are actually two correct answers for this question. She seems to also be the oldest resident and the only one to tend bar.

Sparkly
Well done the only resident of Monowi. What an amazing woman with an extraordinary & unique existence.

Jones Tarentaal
There's no crime, no violence

Tom
it must seem like a tourist boom when lost people in a car turn up, doubling or quadrupling the population.

D O N N A
Sparkly, must be lonely at times.

D O N N A
Amazing that she is the only person. As of April 2024-wonder if she is still alive and the only resident...

LightningFast
Clidge, I thought so too at first but the bartender answer could apply to many cities, its not what is unique to Monowi

Snance
I wonder who delivers the paper?

Wannabe Vulcan
Tom, that's how more than one horror movie has started.

tia
I would have been tempted to move to such an isolated place at certain times in my life just to get some spiritual peace!

Marie
Clidge, cannot be oldest as oldest implies a comparison of at last 3 people here.

Yani
Wonder how much she charges for a drink. When visitors stop by she could make enough to bump up her retirement or SS.

Yani
Clidge, also the youngest and the only woman, the only village official as mayor. I assume she probably votes for herself for mayor

TestyAlien3443
LightningFast, it also could be said that the youngest resident is the bartender, or all residents are.

cheddar
I'm ready to move. just me, my dog and my cat. sounds like paradise.

Emille
She must have visitors and somebody to help. Incredible

Michelle 64000
Clidge, well said!

Player Say what!?
As a neighboring state. I've been to and through Nebraska a few times but never heard of this town. I'll have to make another trip. Nebraska's tourism board has a few very funny and clever commercials about how quirky it is and, "it's not for everyone."

Lionessa
Clidge, I don't think she tends bar. I think she just wants a legal drink.
