What is nephritis an inflammation of?

Good information to know whether you have the problem or not.

the herb Rosemary is an excellent anti-inflammatory herb. I wonder if it would help with inflammation in the kidneys?

I am fascinated by the fact that Caucasians have dramatically less nephritis than other races. Does the scientific/medical community know why? If so, are they working on a treatment to reverse this inflammation, and/or possibly cure or prevent this?

Had this as a 10-11yr old - was pretty much bed ridden for a year but seemed to recover ok !
