Who wrote the book "And Then There Were None"?
Correct answer: Agatha Christie

Procrastus
Player #136569400, both right, it was Indians when I read it 50 years ago, aged 12 - I read it in one day and crept to the loo after dark to finish it, only to find the last page missing.
Another note, the island was based upon Berg island and its hotel off coast of Devon where she stayed. It is revealed by the tide and it is reached by a sort of tractor on stilts

"Murder By Death" also stars Eileen Brennan, Peter Falk (Columbo), and the wonderful Peter Sellers, who played the bumbling Inspector Clouseau in the Pink Panther movies. It's well worth watching.

Taratino movie the hateful 8 had similar script

Andi
Remington Steele also had an episode called Devil's Island that had the same general idea of And Then There Were None. Just watching that episode gives me goosebumps even today!! It's really scarey!!

Eva
Procrastus, by a strange coincidence, I happen to be re reading this novel. What are the chances of that!!!!

I was surprised by what Slyone said, and I was shocked by the idea. I looked it up, and AI says that the book was originally published in ENGLAND as "Ten Little N-Words." When it was published in the US, it was changed to "Ten Little Indians." Please make note of this. America is not the only country with a racist past. In fact, most slave traders were English. They brought slaves to America while we were still a British colony.

SlyOne, that's what I had read too. Later changed to Indians and still later to the better title And Then There Were None. Times change, thankfully.
