Lorraine , how do you account for the immense variety of creatures, without cross breeding, naturally or in captivity? True the answer talks about those in captivity, but that's mainly because that is easier to observe and document. The answer also mentions those that have cross bred in the wild.

Player Jellybean, Cetaceans do produce natural hybrids in the wild. It is well documented. However, hybrids of cetaceans, both in the wild and in captivity do not do well. I agree with you... We should only keep cetaceans for their own good, and not ours. I have used the term hybrid, although with interspecies breading this is not the preferred term.
