Yes Clark Gable was indeed a great actor that's why he was the leading man. But lets not forget the real heroine of the story Scarlett O'Hara? Played by Vivian Leigh! Who won the oscar award for best actress. She fought hard to keep tara even if it meant marrying out of love.. Loved her strong will and foresight to life..

A great read but a lot of inaccurate history! Why let facts get in the way of a good story! 😄

I have a 1936 edition of Gone with the Wind. A great book and film showing racism at its hight. The Academy Awards didn’t help either in the treatment of Hattie McDaniel

Margaret Mitchell did not want a sequel to GWTW. In response to readers' requests, she announced, "There cannot be a sequel. While it's possible that Scarlett could find her way back into Rhett's bed, she could never find her way back into his heart." So the sequel, authorized by the estate decades after her death, is a complete violation of the wishes of Ms Mitchell. I have not, and will not, read it.

Epic movie. . . I saw it in a theater with my friend, Sandy (in the 1970’s) and it was 3 hours long, they gave us a break about halfway through. I thought it must be dark out by then but nah

It is sad that Margaret was just 48when she passed killed while walking across the street with her husband by a drunk driver. I think she would have wrote another book.
