Shakespeare was a great writer. But his knowledge of the classics was limited. He did not read Latin, or no more than me (or greek), he is not a credible source for classical things. JC refused deification a couple of times, this might have been politics. But his , Shakespeare 's, writing on JC, Or Antony Cleopatra is not historical.
