To truly understand the effects of new drugs, please be in close contact to the doctor who prescribed it. Read all info about the new drug. Be aware of possible side effects. Just because the FDA passed a drug doesn't make it safe for everyone. Please use common sense, try innovative solutions, like ice for pain, before popping an opiate. Good luck to all.

RushMama2112, the list of side effects is so long because if only 1 person in the clinical trial develops a symptom it has to be listed even if there were a large number of participants.

Player #1953575, edibles are WAY different than smoking weed. I know someone who had a reaction similar to yours - accelerated heart rate, paranoia, disconnected. Was supposed to help combat insomnia - major fail! Said it was also dehydrating. Hope you recovered well (my friend did and now refuses all marijuana)

quiltgirlgamer, Sound advice. If you are using any medication study up on it. Read the CMI (Consumer Medication Information) and any other information you can find. Even common meds such as aspirin and paracetamol can be lethal if misused.

Ritalin sometimes gets prescribed for young people but when they become teenagers they have to stop taking it due to teenage hormones making it work the opposite.

Interesting example they used ... Adderall in kids is 'calming', a 'downer', if you will, (my words) and yet the same dosage for adults is used to combat fatigue!

I know several people that took this. The doctors say they can manipulate the way they react to the meds. However what it did to some was make them dopey, while others use it as a way to stay up and study all night long
