I read a comment about the largest lake (in a previous question). I checked. Lake Baikal, in Siberia, is the largest lake in the world by water volume, it's surface area is less than lake Superior's but it is three times deeper at it's deepest. And average depth is much more than Superior. Caspian sea is the biggest by far, but we often look at freshwater lakes separate from saltwater.
