I visited the battlefield on the Indian reservation in South Dakota. It was very eerie. I looked out over those Hills imagining all of the Indians surrounding Custer. I served in the 5th Cavalry in Vietnam.

Custer did for the Union Cavalry during the Civil War and am glad for his bravery and willingness to lead his men against J.E.B. I have never.been on the battlefield of "Little Big Horn", but it would be a trip to go back in time & watch the Indians win!!!!! I've always believed that we should have left the Indians in peace...

he could have been in the rear with the gear but he was not. also a great, great Uncle of mine John B. Maguire was in the 7th Cav. he did not go to the battle of the little big horn bcuz he had broke his leg and was recovering he missed everything and lived.
