Who is considered Great Britain's first Prime Minister?
Correct answer: Robert Walpole

Bollocks
fairydusters, it’s only the Union Jack when flown by a ship. Otherwise it is the union flag

Heartland Old Guy
Question was about the first prime minister. Not the flag. Haven't you figured out by now that the pictures are not always correct? I pretty much ignore them unless the question directly references the picture.

Heartland Old Guy, I agree with you!!! I just appreciate the great info and being able to learn new things!

fairydusters, that isn't its name, either. It's the Union Flag. No 'Jack' required, since we aren't afloat.

Quite concerning that the Protocol and Proprietary for the Display of the Flag for The United Kingdom /Great Britain / British Isles is questionable. Blessing to Queen Elizabeth 2 on her 70th year.

The "JACK" is the pole on a ship that the flag is attached to. The flag is the UNION FLAG. It gets the name UNION JACK by folk calling it that.

Little Saint, I noticed that too! The red diagonal stripes are not positioned correctly

Very, very interesting. I'm trying to tie in these dates with the American Revolution of 1776, which I think inspired the French Revolution, to try and understand the culture and politics of the time.

fairydusters, If that is not the union jack then what is?

Ty814
Player #2822194, Dumbass there is a union jack with the red background.on a seagoing vessel. I’m American and know this.

Player #2822194
brooksy92491, Wrong! The Union Jack is never flown on seagoing vessels! The Royal Navy uses the White Ensign and British Merchant Navy uses the Red Ensign sometimes called the Red Duster.

fairydusters
That isnt the union jack flag!!
