What part of your body leaves behind a dactylogram?

Now i know dactylogram is a fingerprint

Your fingerprint can change as you age, particularly if you play a string instrument.

In poetry, a dactyl is a metrical FOOT which is one stressed followed by two unstressed, like the human finger! Now please explain why it is called a “foot”, I have no idea. What’s with poets and our appendages?
