I think today we appreciate art more. I certainly do. It should be taught more in schools. Unfortunately I was nit born with that artist talent.. Kudos to artists

We created this terrible culture of not appreciating artists while they are alive. But as soon as they die, people rush to buy their paintings and praise their talent!

Mel, no. It was sold to a woman. His brother did support him, however. Theo died 6 months after Vincent. They are buried next to each other outside of Paris.

when he moved to that new and last place he lived, it had natural remedies and he painted his appreciation of such when he had its teas. he couldn't suicide, but absorb without a want to return to where he been.

I mean no disrespect, but I can't believe that is supposed to be a masterpiece. I believe a child can do that. It is amazing that art that looks like this has been appreciated for so many years, yet art that is photo realistic, where you can't tell whether a painting or photo, are not promoted. Now that takes some serious skill. There are so many different types of amazing artist.
