Sequoya, or also known as Sequoia, is alternative name for the giant redwood tree. These grow to towering heights in the forests of California and I remember that there was at least one which had a roadway carved through it. Whether it still survives, I don't know.

Ruby
learned this a few months back in school they also named a species of tree after him

Player #38618593, Yes, it was. America TRULY BELONGS TO THE INDIANS!!! I'm African-American and that's just my opinion, when others try to get ugly bout who does/doesn't belong in this country (America). So much unnecessary atrocities to answer for.

Aly
I use to work in Sequoia Hills, named after Sequoia and it’s an affluent neighborhood in Knoxville, Tennessee. So many famous people like novelist Cormac McCarthy, mayor of Knoxville and Governor Bill Haslam and writer Alex Haley. Sequoia is a beautiful neighborhood with parks and walking trails along the river and there is also an Indian mound located there.

Hello To All Of My Native Cherokee People!. My Paternal Grandmother Was Full Blooded Cherokee Indian, And I Just Wanted To Say How Very Honored And Privileged I Am To Be A Descendent Of Such A Beautiful People And A Beautiful Cherokee Indian Woman Who Happens To My Beloved Late Indian Grandmother. She Passed Long Before I Was Ever Born. She Was 36 Years Old When She Died Giving Birth To My Father’s Youngest Brother. It Would’ve Been An Honor And A Pleasure If I Could’ve Gotten To Meet Her And To Grow To Know Her. It Truly Saddens Me That I Couldn’t At Least Had The Chances To See Her Beautiful Face 😭Even For A Second. Thank You For Reading This Comment.

Cynthia
Player #34543577, that's not possible because if you are not any part Cherokee, your son cannot be 100% Cherokee. IT'S DNA impossibility

oma, 50 years with an embargo has been their punishment. But what was their crime? What ever it was .. im sure it was not for dropping a nuclear bomb or invading over 30 countries and I'm sure it wasn't for slaughtering 400 million people! Maybe more like 400 pigs barely. (because they are an island natural resources are few AND since the embargo trade of many foods and products are limited).

DOTS
oma, Thank you for mentioning such an important fact in US history. This genocide is celebrated and called Thanksgiving. I'm not Native but I'm not Naive either. US highlights other countries horrific historical acts like the holocaust, dictatorship and communist evil doings. Speaks of Cuba as the world's worst.
