What kind of creature is a chat?

I usually just choose fish as an answer for these off the wall creatures.

We have yellow breasted chats here in southern Oregon. A delightful bird! We look forward to his coming every spring. He has a repertoire of three songs, mimicking other birds or sounds. The cool thing is every individual bird chooses his three. Everyone has a different combination!
