Which US President reported seeing an unidentified flying object?

I have never seen one, but I watch tv documentaries about them. My son lived near Roswell for a couple of years & he said they saw some strange lights that weren't planes.

Saw one from my Detroit backyard around 1956 in the afternoon, clear sky. Shiny gold circle with defined edges. I did a double-take, and it was gone.
