I remember as a little girl in the Philippines, we got to eat the fruit of the cashew and saw how the cashew nut were cooked in an open fire. After it looked burnt on the outside, we carefully cracked open the nut with a rock, and boy! What a wonderful way to experience something very toasty and tasty to the palette, for the very first time. Yum!

I suppose that since cashews are grown in Brazil, they are technically called Brazil nuts, just like the others with that name. 😃

Did you know cashews were in the poison ivy family. I can eat cashews but I’m highly allergic to poison ivy. Very weird!
