Major Audie Murphy, I too will never forget this tragedy. It is burned in my memory right there along with the assassinations of JFK, RFK, and MLK Jr., as well as the Challenger disaster in Jan.1986.

Celadon, they stopped breathing pure oxygen after that. "Fire in the cockpit" was said, and that quickly, it was over. Sad sad day. The 60s had a lot of sad days.
